Breathwork is a powerful healing modality that helps us understand areas of our lives that need more attention and healing.
What to expect: I will explain the breath and then I will invite you to lay down and breathe to the sound of music. All you need is a private space to lay down (nothing fancy - a bed or yoga mat is perfect), your body and your breath!
30% of proceeds from this class will be donated to FoodWhat, a food justice organization that serves low-income and struggling teenage youth across Santa Cruz County who suffer disproportionately from common problems associated with poverty: diminished school success, severely limited employment options, personal or family trauma, low self-esteem and compromised health.

The relationship we have with ourselves is the most important relationship we will ever have. When we are more connected to ourselves and our emotions, we are able to cultivate more confidence, a healthier inner dialogue, and a better relationship with our bodies and food.
Being in community and connecting with others is powerful medicine.
There is something deeply healing about sitting in circle with others, witnessing each other in our own individual processes and allowing ourselves to be seen and take up space. You will have the opportunity to connect and share, however, it is never required.
There are many different ways to breathe! The type of breathwork I facilitate is an active meditation and an emotional release technique. During breathwork you will change the rate of the breath so your brain has the simple task of breathing. This allows you to drop into your body and be present with yourself in order to process and integrate past experiences and emotions.
