Citrus Electrolyte Mocktail

 
 
 

The temperature is climbing and we must remember to hydrate!

This citrus electrolyte spritzer has become one of my favorite recipes because it's both delicious and helps to naturally hydrate your body. The sugar in the orange and lime help to actively move sodium and water into cells - key to proper hydration and electrolyte balance. Ideally look for Celtic sea salt, which contains less sodium and more trace minerals than your typical iodized / table salt. Enjoy post-workout or pool / beach-side.

HOW TO RECLAIM YOUR HEALTH AND START HEALING YOUR BODY

If you’re ready to cut through the nutrition noise and start making changes to actually heal yourself — follow this guide.

Ingredients

  • 2x juicing oranges

  • 1/2 lime + 1 slice (for garnish)

  • Himalayan sea salt, to taste*

  • Sparkling mineral water

  • 1 tsp agave

Directions: Juice the oranges and lime. Combine with agave. Add sparkling water and sea salt to taste. 

For the adult-only fancy cocktail version of this, add tequila for a fancy cocktail.

I highly recommend you purchase a juicer - something like this

*Optional - line the rim of your glass with sea salt, like a margarita
