Golden Milk Latte

I may have fallen in love with golden milk.

Food fads usually make me cringe - but for such a popular drink they score far higher for health than any frap-a-latte-chino. Turmeric makes it pretty and yellow and is basically the super-man of the herb world. Its main constituent, curcurmin, is a powerful anti-inflammatory antioxidant and is one of those super powerful spices that has been studied to:

  • Reduce arthritic pain

  • Improve digestion and digestive related disorders (like IBS, IBD, dyspepsia, ulcers)

  • Reduce cholesterol levels

  • Reduce inflammation and fight heart disease

  • Decrease risk of cognitive and degenerative related diseases like Parkinson's disease and Alzheimers

HOW TO RECLAIM YOUR HEALTH AND START HEALING YOUR BODY

If you’re ready to cut through the nutrition noise and start making changes to actually heal yourself — follow this guide.

Here's how to make it! This recipe serves 2.

  • 2 c almond milk

  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 - 1 tsp raw honey or coconut sugar (I find that a little sweetener goes a long way!)

  • Pinch of sea salt

Add the dry spices and sweetener into a pan and combine with 1-3 tsp boiling water. Stir thoroughly until the spices dissolve. Add almond milk and bring to a simmer. Pour into a mug and enjoy!
